The TOPGEAR project, coordinated by Sidenor I&D, started on the 1st of August 2021 and will run for 42 months.​

TOPGEAR aims the development of new production routes leading to gears with top performance, capable of supporting the in-service conditions of future hybrid and eletric vehicles.
The project will develop a new manufacturing route, combining new steel solutions and surface hardening treatments, in order to allow the production of gears capable of working at 15,000 rpm without suffering relevant fatigue and scuffing problems.
